Integrating your business systems
The transport link has been designed with our customers in mind; removing the need for duplicate manual data entry. The link is useful for customers who are not utilising our Haulier module, and provides a portal that allows quick and easy entry of additional transport information associated with Movement Requests created within LocateIT, as the same time as creating a Transport Job file for export into the destination transport system.
LocateIT already is capable of exporting data via Common Communication Modules (CCM’s) and integration with various external applications.
When despatch requests are imported into the warehouse, they may well imply uncovered work for traffic planners. The import file into the warehouse might not have all the information that is occassionally entered into a traffic job, such as references, planned transport date, estimated number of pallets and so on. It could also be the case that information such as final weight and number of pallets picked or built may need to be transferred in a second wave once the order pick and pallet build is done. For that reason we have also enabled job specific information to be entered prior to transfer to the traffic planning sheet.
